From the high plateau, the skiing area extends out over 140km of piste and goes all the way up to the Plaine Morte Glacier at 3000m of altitude. Directly above the forest’s edge, the pistes are wide and open, which is ideal not only for first-time skiers but also for off-piste skiing. At the La-Toula chairlift, the terrain is up to the standard of the advanced skiers. The wide pistes for carving and the run of the Piste Nationale down to the valley that, at 12km, is the longest of the region, are particularly famous. As well as the pistes dedicated to traditional skiing, the Crans Montana skiing area also has a piste especially for those who enjoy the skating style of skiing. What’s more, there is an exceptional snowpark facing the Cervin where the more daring skiers, with a passion for freestyle, can practice their new techniques. Finally, in Crans-Montana, golf is a long-standing tradition, and during the winter the golf courses become a paradise for cross-country skiing fans and Nordic skiers as well as for hikers.
